RIVERSIDE MOBILE RV SERVICE of Duluth estimates a NEW ROOF TOP AIR CONDITIONER would cost $1500 to $1750. If a new GENERATOR cost another $2000 or so, total cost for this RV would be $24k!

We believe we have priced this 2003 VW RIALTA low enough to make it eminently salable even to those buyers who require a Generator and Air Conditioning. Those who like us, travel very lightly, will find this unit a real bargain!

We purchased this 2003 VW RIALTA in 2021 as a replacement for our 1997 VW RIALTA. We were thrilled with the more powerful VW 201hp 24 Valve gasoline VR6 engine [116,745 Engine miles] and the recently rebuilt low mileage transmission [7,250 miles]. We did not think the dated and eliminated components were up to the quality standards of a high functioning RV. We used a Dometic 120 V AC/12 V DC portable electric refrigerator to replace the original refrigerator. The exterior generator compartment is now a storage compartment, which is ready for a modern generator should one wish to go Boondocking. The rooftop air unit was replaced with a translucent skylight. The under powered Propane Stove is now a handsome cutting board useful for food prep. We strongly believe the improvements in performance and gas mileage that result from improved aerodynamics and weight reduction, more than justifies these changes.

This VW Winnebago Rialta QD offers a fully featured Class B Motor Home with coach accessories and conveniences of much bigger units, powered by a European Drive Train including a strong VW 201hp 24 Valve gasoline VR6, delivers 15-16.5 mpg and has 116,745 Engine miles with a Rebuilt Automatic Transmission that includes a transmission cooler and has only 7,250 miles. This particular VW Rialta offers many upgrades, including easy to clean laminate flooring in the living area, custom cabinetry under the rear bed, an awesome Canoe/Kayak rack, Large Awning and much more. This is an easy-to-drive-and-park-vehicle, more comparable to a Chevy Suburban than a Class C Road Monster. At 7 feet wide and 21.5 feet long, one can park in many conventional automobile parking spaces. An installed Rear View Back-Up Camera displayed on a 4" Monitor makes parking even easier.

Our Rialta has a Rear Queen Bed platform that is 80” wide x 52” deep. We use a pictured but NOT INCLUDED Exped inflatable MegaMat Duo over INCLUDED Memory Foam for our mattress as that has provided maximum comfort and easiest use with the storage areas below the bed. The Rialta will sleep another one or two people in the 72x40" Forward Bed when the Companion Seats behind Front Seats are rearranged into a flat space.

Not only does the VW Rialta look good from the outside, but the outside looks good from the inside through large coach windows, including the large rear-facing picture window with view from the driver’s seat. These large windows, along with two skylights, fill the VW Rialta with natural light, and lend an open feeling to the interior.

Shower in the Spacious Pull Out Shower/Commode Stall, an Award Winning Design. The Water Heater employs a very clever arrangement using a Heat Exchanger to provide 140º water after driving only 100 miles, or power up the Electric Water Heater when in camp. storage areasr make up Galley. Thermostatically controlled 19k BTU Gas Furnace takes off the chill of cooler nights.

PLEASE NOTE: The VW Rialta Winnebago is variously described as a Class B and a Class C motor home. You decide. The actual color is GOLD, which is not an option in the Craigslist menu.

The one major flaw in this unit is a cosmetic bump on the right rear exterior corner of the Body. The previous owner did this damage, and told us it was a $150 for the parts. We think it might cost more, but never bothered. A fresh coat of paint might be nice, or go frugal.
