What’s the best part of your job?: "I love having repeat clientele. It’s so gratifying to be able to work with people for a 2nd and 3rd time!”What’s the most challenging aspect of your position? “Personally and professionally, I don’t like friction. Occasionally we’ll have a difficult install, and I don’t like when things don’t go smoothly. I do love that Smith & Noble empowers me to resolve the issue though and has an incredible team of support staff to back me up.”What excites you about your future with Smith & Noble? "I really like to challenge myself. Last year, I was #1 in my region for sales; so this year I have a million dollar goal I’ve got my sights set on!"Something she wished customers knew?"They may get a cheaper price, but sometimes they get what they pay for and don’t have the quality of product and extensive follow-up service that we provide afterwards.”Most important question of all….pineapple on pizza, yes or no?"No. Definitely not. Sales managers! what are your biggest pet peeves?I'll go 1st. When you hire a sales rep who promises he'll make a ton of sales. Only to be the lowest result sales person on the team. Bothers the hell out of me. I would rather a rep tell me out righ: "I'm not the best at sales but I want to learn."Compare to: "I'll be the best sales person your company has ever seen." I don't know about you but lying grinds my gears. So what is your biggest pet peeve as a sales manager? #salesmanager #sales #frustration

Three most common comments today…one doesn’t fit with the others:1. “I know more than most of the manufacturer sales people that walk through my door…if they ever actually show up. I definitely wouldn’t hire most of them.“2. “Call me, I’m on the road delivering something. My driver called off and we are so understaffed.”3. “I don’t need to attend ISSA because I can just have my local rep tell me about it.”Are you receiving new industry information from bad sales talent, while being severely distracted by day-to-day operations? If so, how can you know what is new? Sounds like a bad game of telephone.
