Get ready, Pokémon fans! A permanent Pokémon paradise is on its way, and it's set to open its doors in February 2026! Forget fleeting pop-up events; this is the real deal. PokéPark Kanto, the first-ever permanent Pokémon theme park, is coming to life.
Located within the existing Yomiuriland amusement park in Tokyo, Japan, PokéPark Kanto promises an immersive experience for trainers of all ages. To enter this world, you'll need an add-on pass, but trust me, it sounds like it'll be worth it. You'll begin your adventure by entering the "Pokémon Research Lab," which serves as the gateway to the park's two distinct zones: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.
The Pokémon Forest: Imagine wandering through a landscape where Pokémon roam free! This area will feature rolling hills, winding paths through tall grass, rocky trails, and even tunnels. Here, you'll witness Pokémon in their natural habitats, with statues depicting them engaged in various activities, from epic battles to friendly play. It's like stepping right into the game!
Sedge Town: This is where you'll find the heart of the park. Sedge Town will house the iconic Pokémon Center and Poké Mart, offering a chance to refuel and grab some souvenirs. But that's not all! PokéPark Kanto will also boast some exciting attractions.
- Pika Pika Paradise: A ride featuring over 30 electric-type Pokémon.
- Vee Vee Voyage: A carousel with carriages pulled by Ponyta and Rapidash, and balloons where you can ride with Eevee.
But here's where it gets controversial... We haven't seen any actual photos of the park yet, but a trailer has been released to give us a sneak peek.
