I'm new here everyone and pretty new to knife collecting as well I really appreciate the help I've gotten so far from you guys on this site, I bought this knife from a older gentlemen for 5 bucks, from what information I have found on the internet it seems to be a pretty old "Hammer" Brand USA (Imperial) Cracked Ice Switchblade Knife - (Cracked Ice Shell Handles)

It's in pretty decent shape considering the age if anyone has any more information on this knife they could share with me or give me an idea of what its value might be it would be greatly appreciated!

Wow! Mine is certainly not in like new condition, but it is in decent condition, the blade still opens with the push of the button so the spring is still good although the lock mechanism in closed position isn't reliable. There seems to be a small little dent in one of the bolsters. But overall it still looks pretty good. Does anyone have any idea how old this knife is?

Looks like it's 1938 to 1941 according to the chart.

Do a search for Imperial tang stamps and click on images....1945 - 1955

on ebay a candy stripe handled one like yours sold for $65.00 and a blue swirl handled one sold for $50.00

I think it'd fetch $50.00
