19 Carmella Is Currently On Maternity Leave

Carmella has had a successful WWE career, and the Princess of Staten Island has more to give. She's currently on maternity leave after she gave birth to her first child in 2023 with Corey Graves. Carmella won the inaugural Women's Money in the Bank ladder match in 2017, and held the briefcase for a record 287 days.

Carmella successfully cashed in her briefcase on Charlotte Flair on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 34 to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. Carmella stands at 5'5" but she looks taller than that inside the squared circle.

Natalya's resume deserves more championships than it shows for as for over 15 years, she has been one of the most reliable workers on the main roster. Natalya won championships as both a face and a heel, and Natalya is a third-generation wrestler as the daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, the niece of Bret Hart and the granddaughter of Stu Hart.

Natalya has shifted between Raw and NXT and she competed with Lola Vice in NXT Underground but lost. Natalya is 5'5" but she packs a punch, and the 42-year-old is a future WWE Hall of Famer.

16 Jazmyn Nyx Traded Soccer For The Squared Circle

Jazmyn Nyx joined WWE in 2022 as she was originally part of the WWE Performance Center Fall 2022 rookie class. Nyx and Jacy Jayne joined Chase U in January 2024, but they departed the faction a few months later.

Nyx has only had three televised matches in her NXT career, and at 25 that number will rise. Her recent outing was on NXT's Tuesday, June 4, 2024 edition of the show where she defeated Thea Hail. Nyx stands at 5'5" and she was formerly a soccer player until she turned her attention to professional wrestling.

Lola Vice has a long career ahead of her as she is 25 years old, and she made her WWE debut in January 2023 on an episode of NXT Level Up but she came up short. Vice is the first Cuban American to wrestle in WWE which is a huge achievement.

Vice stands at 5'4" and was formerly in a tag team with Elektra Lopez. Vice was a former MMA fighter, and she has defeated Natalya and Shayna Baszler in NXT Underground matches in recent months.

14 Liv Morgan Is Currently The Women's World Champion

It's hard to believe that Liv Morgan is still just 30. Morgan has been on a roll since the fall of 2021. Liv became a threat to Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship, and many fans were desperate to see Morgan end Lynch's stranglehold with the Raw Women's Title.

Liv failed to take the Raw Women's Championship away from Big Time Becks. Liv only stands at 5'3" tall, and she continues to improve and forces the issue to be in the conversation for challenging major titles. Morgan won the 2022 women's Money in the Bank ladder match and she beat Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women's Championship on the same night. Morgan won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship twice with Raquel Rodriguez.

Morgan's Revenge Tour in 2024 has been nothing short of extraordinary. Morgan turned heel after she took out Rhea Ripley, and she defeated Becky Lynch for the Women's World Championship at King and Queen of the Ring 2024. Morgan is trying to prise Dominik Mysterio away from Ripley as she kissed Dominik on the May 27, 2024 edition of Raw.

Asuka is one of the all-time great female wrestlers in WWE history. She is a Grand Slam Champion as she has won the WWE Women's Championship three times, the SmackDown Women's Title once, the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship four times, and the NXT Women's Championship once.

She has had some memorable battles with the likes of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch at major events. Asuka is a veteran, and she is extremely popular with the fans. The second Grand Slam Champion in WWE history is only 5'3" but she doesn't shy away from getting physical.

11 Candice LeRae Has Shown A Mean Streak As A Heel

The smaller size of LeRae added even more to the stories of her holding her own against men much larger than her. Candice is 5’2’’ and one of the shortest talents in NXT’s women’s division. The underdog character of LeRae shined in NXT, but she proved her height didn’t matter as much when turning heel and working as the aggressor in matches.

LeRae turned heel in March 2024, and she has had a couple of opportunities alongside Indi Hartwell on premium live events to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, but they came up short both times. LeRae is a superb in-ring performer, and her work as a heel has been exceptional.

WWE placed the duo of Carter and Katana Chance together in the NXT women’s tag team division with the duo getting called up together. Carter and Chance got called up to the main roster, and they made history in December 2023 when they defeated Chelsea Green and Piper Niven for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship as they became the first team to win both the WWE and NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.

Nile is 32 and she is a former mixed martial artist. Nile has been with WWE since 2020, and having trainers like Kane and Prichard, who were trained some of the very best is going to help Nile in the long run.

Nile packs a punch and she is not one woman to mess around in despite her short height. Nile has moved to Raw alongside the Creed Brothers in the fall of 2023 and Diamond Mine are still active, but Nile teamed up with Maxxine Dupri in the spring of 2024.

8 Wendy Choo Returned To NXT With A New Look

Wendy Choo's sleeping gimmick has raised eyebrows as Choo wrestles in her pajamas which is very strange. Choo stands at 5 feet 2 inches, and she isn't bad inside the squared circle. She had chances to dethrone Mandy Rose for the NXT Women's Championship which failed to materialize.

Choo is an underdog in most of her matches because of her height, and it remains to be seen if Wendy Choo will win the NXT Women's Championship.

Choo returned to NXT in June 2024 with a new look. Choo usually competes in pajamas, but she has adopted a new aggressive style, and Choo will be looking to get her hands on silverware in NXT with the NXT Women's North American Championship a strong possibility.

7 Alexa Bliss' Return Is Unknown As She Is On Maternity Leave

WWE has marketed the height of Alexa Bliss since she’s among the most successful wrestlers ever at her height. Bliss is just 5’1’’ and that may even be pushing it as her listed height. WWE using the term “five feet of fury” to describe Alexa makes it more likely she is even 5 feet tall.

Regardless, Bliss's dominant heel persona made her successful as the Raw Women’s Champion and SmackDown Women’s Champion. Alexa proved that her height is just a couple of numbers since she thrived on top of the successful division as the shortest top star.

6 Kairi Sane Returned To WWE In The Fall Of 2023

Almost two years after leaving WWE in December 2021, Kairi Sane again joined WWE. Sane was the latest addition to Damage CTRL, and she carried on where she left off as she became a two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Asuka as the Kabuki Warriors reunited.

Sane stands at 5'1" and the former NXT Women's Champion is a magnificent in-ring competitor. Damage CTRL are on the rocks, but a solo run for Sane is just what she needs right now.

Another huge star for WWE to prove that shorter wrestlers can get over at a major level is Iyo Sky. The reputation of Sky in Japan saw her considered to be one of the best female performers in the world before WWE even signed her.

Sky has more than delivered for the NXT brand with many great matches and title reigns. The height of Io at 5’1’’ doesn’t hold her back one bit and actually adds to her character. Sky delivering some of the best high-flying moves in the business is a perk of being a smaller wrestler.

Sky had a successful 2022 as alongside Bayley and Dakota Kai, Damage CTRL was born at SummerSlam. Sky won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship twice with Kai, and she won the women's Money in the Bank ladder match at Money in the Bank 2023, and she successfully cashed in her briefcase on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam for her first Women's Championship reign. Her reign lasted eight months with her former Damage CTRL stablemate Bayley dethroning her for the title at WrestleMania 40.

4 Zelina Vega Is A Former Queen's Crown Winner

WWE initially didn’t even try to use Zelina Vega as a wrestler when she managed Andrade in NXT. Vega did have a lot of training under her belt and eventually moved into an in-ring role on the main roster, due to Vince McMahon loving her character work.

The height of Zelina at 5’1’’ is another instance where she may be listed as taller. Vega makes her counterparts look taller in matches as one of the shortest talents on the roster. The shorter height has become part of her act as someone talks loud enough to make up for anything she lacks in size. Vega joined the LWO in 2022 and she unsuccessfully challenged Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship at Backlash 2023 in front of the Puerto Rican crowd which meant a lot to Vega.

3 Roxanne Perez Has Registered Major Wins As NXT Women's Champion

Roxanne Perez is one of the youngest wrestlers on the NXT roster at 22. Perez has had a successful 2023 as she entered the women's Royal Rumble match for the first time in her career. At the end of 2022, Perez ended Mandy Rose's 413-day reign as NXT Women's Champion.

Perez's height is only 5'1" but she is a talented in-ring performer. She is the underdog in some of her matches and she trained at current NXT commentator and two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion.

2 Katana Chance Is One Of The Shortest Female Wrestlers In WWE History

The signing of Katana Chance followed her stint on the America Ninja Warrior competition series. Chance's athletic ability was superb from her success on the popular show to her background as a successful gymnast.

WWE would sign Chance as one of the shortest talents in the company at just 5 feet tall. Chance plays an underdog face who delivers many exciting moves to make the smaller size part of her character. WWE already found success with Chance's Royal Rumble elimination spots making use of the impressive athleticism.

Chance won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Kayden Carter in December 2023, and they walked into 2024 as the reigning titleholders. Despite holding the gold for just a month, Chance and Carter became the first of two teams to win both the WWE Women's and NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.

1 Nikki Cross Has A New Character Once More

WWE signing Nikki Cross felt like a surprise a few years ago since she didn’t fit the mold of the old-school female performer in the company. One reason for that was her shorter height at an even 5 feet tall as WWE usually hired women a little taller.

The success of Nikki in NXT and on the main roster made her height irrelevant. A new gimmick of the superhero character Nikki A.S.H. sees Cross getting an underdog character over and the height is suited perfectly for such a gimmick.

Cross has undergone another character change as she is a new Wyat Sicks faction member. They debuted on the June 17, 2024, edition of Raw, and it feels like this is the fresh start that Cross needed as she wasn't doing anything meaningful in the months prior.
